Our favorite restaurant hadn't opened for the evening yet so we decided to come check out the new spot for this buckhead taqueria. This restaurant is not hard to find but it is hard to access with the high volume road traffic. The menu was like a typical taqueria spot. I would like to highlight the appetizers that we had. The empanadas: we had the choice to pick from ground beef, chicken as well as pulled beef. So we ordered them all. My friend Steven from Home Depot made friends with the owner or builder so we went to check it out and ate dinner there. The first time I could remember it was good. So I went again for the NAAAP Networking gathering and the appetizers were good.  I went back with Steven this time, and we had sushi dinner only: I ordered 3 types of sushi rolls: the Lobster King Crab and he ordered the Spider roll. Both were not very tasty and not very good. The temperature was off and the rice was dry. We did Hibachi this time and my co-workers weren't impressed. I ordered sushi again, this time I stuck to the basic and ordered the California rolls. The guy wanted to give me hibachi food but I didn't want any. This place is not worth the money or the taste buds. Not going there again... Even with a 50% ScoutMob.

Atlanta, GA 30324 Tel: (404) 634-8947 For Greg's birthday we decided to try something different, this pick ended up being fusion of Creole-Thai style cuisine. Hidden on the Cheshire Bridge strip is the restaurant with a bright red neon sign on the road. The staff were a mix of Asian and Caucasian which was very interesting. The bar area was empty, but the dining room area was quietly buzzing with a few patrons scattered around the room of white table cloths with candles. We started off with Moscato Spumanti, Chardonnay, and a Pinot Noir. Our picks for the appetizers were Oysters Sara on a bed of cream spinach and the seafood gumbo.  The oysters were crispy on the outside; seasoned and cooked to perfection. Greg decided to meet me in Tampa, FL and took me on a tour of Tampa on foot and by bus to see the downtown skyscrapers, gives the look of the city life mix Columbus, GA. Our last  destination was Ybor City, FL. Ybor City looks like an old town mix of Columbus and Savannah, GA. The city has quiet street with industries and homes sitting along the boulevard, followed by the center of town where there is a long strip of small businesses with and older district feel.  We checked out some spots and came across this restaurant, from the street we admired the architecture and the stone and tile work all over the building. We had the opportunity to speak with him about business and he took the time to tell us about the menu and the popular items. Daniel made sure we were enjoying our time and the great food. We started with the family-size Tom Yum Soup, which we couldn't get enough of until our dishes were placed in front of our faces. We stopped drinking long enough to dig into the main course. The  Rasa Sayang Ayam, Udang Kelapa  was amazing. I was beyond full but I couldn't help but scoop another spoon full of the Chicken and shrimp from those overflowing coconut shells. I ordered the Thai Spicy Beef Pad See U, which was good as well, but not nearly as mouth-watering as the Rasa Sayang Ayam, Udang Kelapa.  The Curry dishes are the next on our list to try at Rasa Sayang.

Nice Mon! 663 S Stone Mt Lithonia # B Stone Mountain, GA 30083 (678) 476-0013 Greg recommended we go here, so I finally made it to Stone Mountain for my first taste of Deklab Jamaican food. We decided to come for lunch on Valentines day and it was a good choice because it was quiet and we got to talk with the owner and gain some insight into the family business and her menu of tasty items. We both ordered Ox tails and slurped it down as fast as we could muster. I couldn't get enough, maybe the plate was too small... The homemade lemonade with the cane sugar was a hit as well.

The restaurant is decorated with bamboo and looks like you are eating in a small village in the country. This is my favorite spot for Roti Canai. I can eat Roti Canai all day if you let me... No sharing of that dish, we both got one so we wouldn't be fighting over the sauce or the bread! My friend ordered the Curry Beef Stew with Noodles which we shared. My all time favorite is the Beef Chow Fun with red chilies.

J Alexander's Restaurant 5245 Peachtree Parkway Norcross, GA 30092 (770) 263-9755 This is my first time to J Alexanders. I've passed by the restaurant many times and even asked fellow friends to meet me there for dinner. I finally got to experience the food. We were greeted by our Hostess, and then proceeded to be serviced by four waitresses, by the end of the night I was totally confused, but over all we all had a good time. The restaurant is decorated with warm colors and it feels very comfortable, like a steak house slash lounge. I (Jenn) had my super large Mandarin Martini and shared a Steak and Baked Potato with Ms. Lu Anh. We talked and laughed all night while I stole bites of Greg's fish and kept the staff way beyond the hours of operation. Greg had the fish, which Lu Anh and Jenn stole many bites off the plate because it was so delicious we couldn't hold our forks back.
