J Alexander's Restaurant

Image
J Alexander's Restaurant 5245 Peachtree Parkway Norcross, GA 30092 (770) 263-9755 This is my first time to J Alexanders. I've passed by the restaurant many times and even asked fellow friends to meet me there for dinner. I finally got to experience the food. We were greeted by our Hostess, and then proceeded to be serviced by four waitresses, by the end of the night I was totally confused, but over all we all had a good time. The restaurant is decorated with warm colors and it feels very comfortable, like a steak house slash lounge. I (Jenn) had my super large Mandarin Martini and shared a Steak and Baked Potato with Ms. Lu Anh. We talked and laughed all night while I stole bites of Greg's fish and kept the staff way beyond the hours of operation. Greg had the fish, which Lu Anh and Jenn stole many bites off the plate because it was so delicious we couldn't hold our forks back.

Tadka / Bamboo Gardens

Tadka   Bamboo Gardens 11105 State Bridge Rd , Alpharetta, GA 30022. 770-622-1445 ⭐⭐⭐⭐4 Stars Tadka is connected Bamboo Garden, so it allows for the clients to choose their delights according to the menu. Tadka is Indian cuisine and Bamboo Garden is Chinese cuisine done Indian style. We ended up staying in the Tadka section only because we got all comfy on the sofa seats and were warming up by the fireplace. Tadka is decorated very rustic and very simple but comfortable. I ordered a Mango Martini, since mangos are a favorite of the Indians. Since I always order Mango lassi at restaurants I wanted to play it up.  I ordered a main course to share of course: the lamb biryani. It was heavenly, so good that I hoped that no one finished it all so that I could have some to take home in a doggie bag. I also wanted to comment that the Indochinese fried rice from Bamboo Gardens is also a great choice, they have four to choose from and are quite spicy, delicious and also ...

Two Urban Licks

820 Ralph McGill Boulevard Northeast Atlanta, GA 30306 (404) 522-4622 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4-Stars This restaurant is where it all got started. Greg phoned me up and asked me to dinner to discuss a new business idea... We discovered that both Greg and I loved to wine and dine and therefore naming us the foodies! The restaurant was hidden in the back of the street, near car repair shops and apartments' but we found our way and entered into a delightfully artful décor or eccentric designs. The best part of my experience at Two Urban Licks was watching the duck and the chicken in the clear smoker. For starters, we tried the lamb lollipops and shaved calamari.  The lamb lollipops were cooked perfectly and went well with the pear chutney and chevre cream.  The same goes for the shaved calamari, cooked to perfection that melted in your mouth. I (Jenn) had the chicken and found it moist and perfectly done. I had a grand time, Martini in hand as we talked away the n...
